Buffalo, NY – A newly formed theatre company called Red Thread Theatre, will reside in the New Phoenix theatre, located on 95 Johnson Parkway, the oldest park in the city of Buffalo. The Red Thread Theatre company will open with an area premiere of Catherine Hayes’ award-winning play SKIRMISHES,
February 4-27, 2009.
Written by Catherine Hayes, SKIRMISHES takes place in the bedroom of a house in provincial England, where a senile old woman lies on her deathbed, attended by her two middle-aged daughters. Playing the two daughters will be two of the area’s finest actresses, Josephine Hogan and Eileen Dugan. The mother will be played by Kathleen Betsko-Yale. SKIRMISHES will be directed by Kelli Bocock-Natale.
SKIRMISHES will run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. The first three Thursday performances are pay-what-you can. Tickets to mainstage shows are $20.00 general admission or $15.00 to students and seniors; $5.00 to student groups of ten or more (when teachers/faculty make reservations). Students with ID may see “second Thursday” performances for free.

Red Thread Theatre company founding members are Eileen Dugan, Colleen Gaughn, Josephine Hogan, Kelli Bocock-Natale and Christina Rausa. The purpose of the company is to present productions of the highest quality aspiring to expand the horizons of audiences and artists alike, thus enriching our community and our world through the art of theatre.
The New Phoenix theatre is located at 95 Johnson Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14201. Parking is available on streets around the theatre and on Elmwood Avenue, two blocks away from the theatre.
